HOW TO ROOT OR INSTALL PLAY STORE/GAPPS: (download the necessary files here)
- Turn on USB debugging in the phone, connect phone with PC via USB
- The first thing to do is to flash a custom recovery to the phone
- Download and unzip TWRP-Recovery.rar on the PC - unzip into some normal folders, remove Chinese text from folder names to avoid problems!
- Run "recovery.bat" on the PC (if it is called "刷recovery.bat" I recommend to rename it to just "recovery.bat" (the phone has to be on and connected to the PC) - this should flash the custom recovery to the phone via adb - you may get a popup on the phones screen, where you have to "Allow this computer", then press enter 2-3 times in the command prompt that popped up on your PC with some Chinese text, and the phone will then reboot itself into first FASTBOOT (and display some text) and then into the recovery.
(if you have the correct scatter file, you can also just flash the recovery.img with SP Flash Tool).
- Download BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip, and copy the zip to the phone (do not unzip it).
- Startup TWRP Recovery on the phone (power off, hold power button plus volume up at the same time in the beginning)
- With TWRP Recovery (the buttons will have Chinese text, but everything is like the normal TWRP) or another custom recovery flash the BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip for ROOT (the "Install" button is the first box in TWRP).
- Or if you want the Play Store/Gapps, install instead the Letv-google.zip (do not unzip).
- To install a ROM it is the same procedure, just instead choose the ROM zip file. A wipe/cache and factory reset is recommended after flashing a new ROM.
- Reboot, and the phone should now be rooted/have the Play Store installed.

    3. Sorry I have no idea what is wrong. Try on another PC, or try on a PC with Windows 7. Or try connecting the phone to another USB port. Also install the PdaNet drivers here http://pdanet.co/a/

Well , I guess this happens to guys who buy their first new Mediatek powered device and try to install it.
      I used the drivers from
      http://adbdriver.com/downloads/ and from
      http://androidxda.com/download-best-android-adb-driver

  3. Hi S7yler ..I succeeded to install TWRP, Superuser and the ROM from the links you posted on Needrom, but unfortunately when I restarted the phone in the recovery TWRP mode I pressed accidentally a button (I think it was the Fastboot one) and it just entered in the Fastboot mode and stayed there. The phone was frozen... I was not able to turn off nor restart the phone although I press the Power button and hold it long and a combinations of Power, Volume + - etc.

I let the battery drain ...then plugged in the charger. After charging 1-2% I was able to turn on the phone. An advice for LeTv users while in the TWRP mode (in Chinese) : don't press any unknown buttons, and of course, the Fastboot one :(
Unfortunately the TWRP is in Chinese, and may also have a bug which can freeze your phone in the Fastboot mode ...well, until your battery drains out :)

    1. no the TWRP is in Chinese, but I read somewhere on XDA that if you use a theme for TWRP you can make it English. You need to ask in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/letv-one-x600-s1-hands-antutu-camera-t3130033/page2

  12. Thanks! that worked for me.

unfortunately, I got the device with dead "volume down" button. Till now, I managed to enter recovery, just by software (rither adb and fastboot or by rom manager). I am afraid that if my rom is breaked I will not be able to get into recovery to fix it. do you know is there any way to run multirom? is there a multi-rom recovery for this device?

  19. For Linux users:

    adb reboot bootloader

    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

    fastboot oem reboot-recovery

is the basics of the procedure, grab the archive from needrom as the link above is expired (needrom twrp is half English/Russian)

(Debian/Ubuntu) you may need to add an entry to your udev rules:

    /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules
    SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="2b0e", MODE="0666"

    and add 0x2b0e to your

    ~/.android/adb_usb.ini

    # ANDROID 3RD PARTY USB VENDOR ID LIST -- DO NOT EDIT.
    # USE 'android update adb' TO GENERATE.
    # 1 USB VENDOR ID PER LINE.
    0x2b0e
